Popular Nigerian socialite and celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest has made fun of Afrobeat star Burna Boy after he lost out to colleague Tems at the recently concluded 2025 Grammy award.
Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, was nominated for his song ‘Higher’ for the best African music performance category alongside Tems (Love me Jeje), Yemi Alade (Tomorrow), Asake ft Wizkid (MMS), and Chris Brown ft Davido (Sensational).
Ultimately, Tems won the award at the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2.
Cubana Chief Priest, who has had ongoing conflicts with Burna Boy, posted on his Instagram story expressing his opinion. He claimed that Tems would have lost the Grammy award if the controversial US rapper Diddy hadn’t been arrested, taking swipe at the ‘Bundle by Bundle’ crooner.
He wrote, “If to say Diddy Dey outside dem for use Johnson baby oil rub away her Grammy.”
