The absence of actress Iyabo Ojo’s ex-husband in their children’s marriage has sparked reactions.
Priscilla Ojo posted a screen grab of her video chat with her father on her Snapchat story a few hours ago.
The new bride used love emoticons to captivate her father. This picture made people talk about how beautiful Iyabo Ojo’s altruistic nature was in securing their father’s attendance at his daughter’s wedding.
Nigerians, however, were alarmed by his absence from the opulent Tanzanian traditional wedding and made fun of the actress. But everything calmed down once Priscilla Ojo released the pictures.
Many have suggested that culture may have been a factor in his absence. Although it should be the other way around, some people think Nigerian society disapproves of the bride’s father attending the wedding at her in-laws. Nonetheless, he supported the tradition of his daughter’s husband.

He can delegate the mother and of course Festus his son to go there and do it. Which is ok. I want to believe he will be around for the ones in Nigeria. It is them that will come from Tanzania to come and prostrate for the brides father. The brides father can never go to the wedding in Tanzania.”

On Friday, Priscilla Ojo tied the knot with her boo, Juma Jux, according to the Tanzanian traditions.
The highly talked about wedding got many glued to their screens over the weekend as they enjoyed snippets from the wedding online.
