Well-known Yoruba film star Tunde Shobayo has talked about the challenges he faced before becoming an actor and how he fled his home to work as a cab driver.

In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Feelrightnews TV during an interview, he disclosed that he ran away from home to become a taxi driver when his parents could not afford to pay his tuition fees to further his education.

In his statement, he said, “When I finished my secondary school, my parents asked me to stop my education in order to become an artisan. I listened to my parents instruction because they didn’t have the financial capacity to cater for me at the time. I went to learn mechanical engineering for 5 years, and I got my freedom. I ran away from home to become a taxi driver when my parents couldn’t pay my school fees. I started making some money to take care of myself, and when I went back home to meet my parents, they punished me severely for running away without taking permission from them.”
