Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has weighed in on the ongoing debate about Nigeria’s top Afrobeats artists.
During a recent episode of The Inside Scopepodcast, the Nottingham Forest player was asked to rank his top four Afrobeats artists. He named Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, and Asake.
“My top four Afrobeats artists? Burna Boy is number one because whatever he drops is going to bang. So that’s why he’s number one. It may be a little bit biased, but he’s there,” Aina stated.
“Second is Wizkid. Wizkid would have been first but I think that would have just been the nostalgia kicking in because lately, he has been overtaken.
“Davido is third because he drops a lot of songs so definitely, there would be a few bangers.
“Asake is only last in the group because he’s fairly new. He makes hits. In a few years, he will be at the top.”
