Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, a legendary Nigerian Fuji musician, has talked about how his late mother passed away on his laps and how hard it was for him to accept that she may have died at that time.

According to a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV in an interview, he mentioned that his mother was sleeping on his laps the day she died, and that he thought she could still wake up because it was difficult for him to believe that she was dead.

Pasuma said, “I was called on the phone to come to her house to check on her because she was acting strange. When I got there, I told them there was nothing wrong with her because I believed she would be fine when she saw me. My mom was sleeping on my lap the day she died, and I still believed that she would wake up.

I was very close to my mother when she was alive, but I believed that it was her time to die, and I couldn’t stop it from happening. I’m just happy because it wasn’t as if we had to take her from one hospital to the other because she wasn’t sick. When she finished eating that day, she observed her daily prayer, and she said she wanted to rest a little bit, and she didn’t wake up again.”
