In a recent remark, well-known Nigerian media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu subtly disparages actor Zubby Micheal, while Timini Egbuson tops the Nollywood box office.
As a result of the announcement that he will be the highest-earning Nollywood actor in 2023, Timini Egbuson celebrated the achievement on his verified Instagram page today, May 23.
Remember how, in March 2024, Zubby Michael caused a stir on the internet when he declared he would purchase Timini following the actor’s declaration that he was the biggest actor in Africa?
During the television series “Ebuka Turns Up Africa”, Timini Egbuson said that he is the biggest actor in Africa and gives reasons.
Responding, Zubby Micheal said that he is the biggest actor in Africa stressing that he is capable of buying “Timini” and it is not coming from a place of pride.

However, Timini emerged as the highest grossing in Nollywood actor in the year 2023 meaning as of this moment, he is the biggest actor in Africa. Timini gather N1billion from the movies he featured in last year which include, “A Tribe Called Judah,” “The Kujus Again,” “Big Love,” “Honey Money,” “Something Like Gold,” “Unforgivable,” “The Bloom Boys,” “The Modern Woman,” and “Maniac.”
However, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu joined the league of celebrities who have took to the comment section to celebrate with Timini as he becomes the highest-grossing actor in Nollywood.
Reacting via the comment section of Timini Egbuson post, Ebuka said Timini is not just an actor that talk and he is an actor that talk with evidence.
Ebuka wrote; “Talk and do 💪🏾.”
