Nigerian controversial singer Portable has set the record straight on his featured song with Davido’s rival, Dammy Krane.
Taking to his Instagram page, he made it known that he didn’t insult the music star as he was only featured on a song with his rival. As always, Portable accused Dammy of ripping him as he claimed he never got paid for the feature.
He pleaded with those trying to instigate Davido against him not to ruin their relationship as he called the music star His helper.
“Me and anybody no sing to insult Davido. That’s how I was with Davido and people called him saying I sang with Dammy Krane to insult him. Na him feature me oo and he didn’t even give me feature money. He rip me. So abeg o, no allow my helper run from me because of you”.

This is coming hours after Davido granted Portable’s wish by treating him to a dinner at a luxury restaurant in Atlanta. The ‘Jowo’ crooner even went as far as presenting Portable with a luxury sneaker and others.
Refreshing your memory, Late last year, Portable surprised many after he teamed up with Davido’s opponent, Dammy Krane, to diss the singer in a track. The duo shared a video of them in the studio recording the track, which undoubtedly took several shots at Davido. The collaboration didn’t sit well with many, especially since Portable had begged Davido for a feature, and he had responded.
In a surprising twist, Portable had a change of heart as he switched back to Davido and warned Dammy to stop using their song to drag Davido as he noted how the award-winning singer is his helper. He admonished Dammy to physically confront Davido if he had issues with him and further criticised him for always dissing the singer, who was once his helper.
Portable’s relationship with Davido has been tumultuous over the years. Recall that in 2022, Davido and Portable fell off after Portable supported his uncle’s political rival. Portable had backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Davido, on the other hand, supported Ademola Adeleke, his uncle and eventual winner of the poll.
Angered by his action, Davido had unfollowed him on Instagram, and Portable had slammed the singer for his action. Their beef didn’t last long as Davido reconciled with him after he publicly apologised to him and re-followed him.
