Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti in a new video disclosed how Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola and his wife Simbiat allegedly framed Fela Kuti For robbery wanting him to be killed.
While many know Afrobeats Legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti for having so many women in his life and his smoking prowess, some youths of nowadays do not know some of his actual stories.
In the video, Seun Kuti said that during the Idiagbon regime, Abiola and his wife Simbiat fabricated a story to the government claim that Fela and his gang robbed Simbiat of his Ferrari at gunpoint.
Speaking further, Seun Kuti asserts that during the Idiagbon regime at that time, the reward for robbery was automatic killing. However, Seun Kuti was able to overcome this because he was performing in Cameroon at that time on the day Simbiat claimed that Fela and his gang robbed her of her Ferrari at gunpoint.
Seun Kuti said that the details of this story was mentioned by his father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti in his song, “You gimme shit I give you shit.”
Seun Kuti said that his father Fela reacted to this by going to his site to pack 12 buckets of shit accompanied by his elder brother Femi Kuti and headed straight to Abiola’s house.
Abiola and his wife Simbiat were not around, but the gateman was around. Some amount of shit was sprayed on the gateman before the whole Abiola house was painted with shit.
Following the investigation, Seun said the policeman came to his father Fela’s house as they saw him as a culprit, but Fela Kuti denied it as there was no evidence to arrest him at that time.
According to Seun Kuti, his father Fela lied that he was not the one that painted Abiola’s house with shit but if he was allowed to do so, he will do so.

Recall that On January 1, 1980, Fela Anikulapo Kuti released the song International Thief Thief (ITT). The song exposes the criminal activities and involvement of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola in serial shady international deals in truncating the telecommunication industry in Nigeria.
Also, Nigerian journalist and author, David Hundeyin in an interview uttered that here is nothing illegal that happened in Nigeria between 1978 and 1992 that MKO Abiola’s hand was not involved.
