Famous Nigerian blogger Cutie_juls in an updated post on Instagram today, July 18th 2024 shared details revealing why singer Kizz Daniel refuses to give Ubi Franklin 10% (N15M) of the N150M gig the music executive secures for him.
Recall in a previous post, Hitgist reported that Kizz agreed to pay Ubi 10% (N15 million) as commission but later demanded the full amount be paid to him, promising to settle Ubi’s cut as an expense.
However, in the end, Kizz Daniel only sent N7.5 million as commission, claiming the initial agreement was between Ubi and his brother, not him. This led to a heated argument, with both parties using harsh words and eventually blocking each other on phone and social media.
In the updated post spotted on the page of contentious blogger Cutie Juls, Kizz Daniel allegedly refuses to pay the full 10% (N15M) to music executive Ubi Franklin because Ubi allowed Tekno to go on the internet and blast him over the Buga song payments.
The post read; “UPDATES: Kizz Daniel’s revealed to sources that the reason why he refused to give Ubi Franklin the full 10% i.e N15 million is because Ubi allowed Tekno to go on the internet and blast him over the Buga song payments .
Recalled that earlier this year, there were rumours that Kizz Daniel had paid Tekno some money for Buga which Tekno came out to debunk and subsequently put Kizz Daniel on a blast.
According to Kizz Daniel’s camp, Ubi Franklin was in Tekno’s house whilst Tekno went on social media to blast Kizz.
According to sources close to Kizz Daniel, this was the genesis of Kizz Daniel’s issues with Ubi Franklin.
So Kizz Daniel wanted to boycott the Abuja UN gig which Ubi had already gotten for him.
He [Kizz Daniel] tried getting the deal directly with through his manager, Uthy but the show promoters advised they have already sealed Kizz Daniel’s booking with Ubi Franklin’s MMM label.
Sources close said Kizz has confirmed the 7.5million is not much money for Kizz to pay but he won’t because Ubi allowed Tekno disrespect him which he suspects Ubi was part of that conspiracy.
NB: So in a knot shell, Kizz is admitting he owes Ubi Franklin but he won’t pay because Ubi allowed Tekno to insult him [Kizz Daniel] on social media … hmmmm
