“Why I will never support any protest against the government” – Singer Burna Boy finally spills

Grammy Award winner Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy in a trending post on social media disclosed why he will never support any protest against the government.

This reaction from Burna Boy comes after being called out by Nigerians for being mute about the trending conversation #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria.

#EndBadGovernaceInNigeria has taken over the social media space as Nigerians have taken over the streets in their various states to protest against hardship in the country.

While Burna Boy is well known for addressing social political issues in his songs as well as speaking for the masses, the singer via his verified page on X today, August 1st 2024 speaks on why he does not speak up again like he used to do.

Burna Boy said his fight for the masses comes to an end in the year 2020 when some people during the EndSARS protest started cancelling him.

Recalling the tweet, Burna Boy said; “The fight in me Died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.”

“Even JESUS was crucified.”

An X user identified as @boymanager0 tackled the singer “Oga shutup.. Because they did u bad doesn’t mean u giveup. U taught us to keep fighting in your songs but u dey here dey cap nonsense.”

Burna Boy replied “I taught u to keep fighting your oppressors but you chose to fight Me.”

Another X user identified as @jr_barryy throws shade at Burna Boy for calling himself African Giant and the signer responded that he has given the tittle to rapper Falz.

The singer further bragged that he has never received any money from politicians before. Burna Boy tweeted; “No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I’m your faves. 😂.”
