A final year female student of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Mojisola Awesu, has been found dead as her corpse was dumped at a refuse site.

The 21-year-old was declared missing since August 9, 2024, few weeks after photos and videos showing her sign out moment went viral online.

Prior to the day she got missing, reports stated that Mojisola received a phone call from one Miss Timileyin, who informed her about an event organized by students from Summit University and Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin.

Through this introduction, Mojisola was connected with Mr. Adebayo Happiness, a student at Summit University, who allegedly invited her to a night party, offering her Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) to pretend as his girlfriend.

Upon arriving in Ilorin, Mojisola reportedly told her roommate, Miss Blessing O., that she felt uneasy at the hotel where Mr. Happiness had lodged her, noting that no party was happening at the venue. Shortly after this, Mojisola’s phone was switched off, and all attempts by her roommate to contact her were unsuccessful.

Tragically, on August 11, 2024, a group of laborers found Mojisola’s body at a refuse site near the Aleniboro area in Ilorin, Kwara State. The following day, August 12, Mr. Olorunoje, a local resident, reported the discovery to the police after being informed by the laborers.

According to the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, a team of detectives was immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report.

The scene was examined and photographed, with investigators noting traces of blood near the deceased’s left ear. In a shocking turn of events, the body was later identified as Mojisola Awesu Oluwafunmike.
