Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has hailed his colleague, Jerry Williams, amid his battle with drugs.
On his Instagram page, Yul Edochie called Jerry the pride of Africa, declaring nobody can take his crown. Sending well wishes to him, he urged the actor to come back stronger as he prayed for God to guide him always.
“The Pride of Africa.

Nobody can take your crown, bro.
Come back stronger.
May God be with you always”.
Recall that in June 2023, The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) announced the indefinite suspension of Jerry Williams over his involvement with drugs. According to the statement, the association had been monitoring the situation since December till it got out of hand.
The president of the Guild said Jerry ought to have been suspended a long time ago, but the Guild decided to allow him to go through minor treatments, which they claimed he defaulted.
The President stated that the actor was now a risk not only to himself but also to other actors who might be acting alongside him on set, hence why the indefinite suspension.
However, in July, the actor had finally listened to their pleas as he entered rehab. A source said the actor was at an undisclosed rehab centre where he was undergoing intensive therapy.
According to sources, Jerry’s colleagues had earlier advised him to desist from drug abuse, which he finally listened to.
