Drama has erupted in the University of Benin, Edo state when an 100 level student stole her roommate’s 20-inches bone straight hair in order for her to attend Nigerian singer Rema’s newly-concluded homecoming concert.
The incident, which has since gone viral took place a day before the Rema Homecoming Concert an event that drew hundreds of fans eager to see the global Afrobeats sensation perform in his hometown.
It was gathered that the young lady, who seems desperate to look beautiful for the singer’s show, went ahead to cut the long bone straight to a shorter one, an 8-inches human wig.
Although it was not detailed how the female student was caught stealing, a video making the rounds online captured the moment a police car stormed into one of UNIBEN hostels and got the lady arrested.
Her arrest called the attention of many as other students rushed to the scene, trying to figure out what happened.
It is worth noting that the Rema Homecoming Concert was one of the most talked-about events in Benin City, attracting fans from all over the country. The ‘Calm down’ crooner entertained his fans with his classic performance.
