Users on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have been voicing their frustrations recently about the sudden, drastic drop in their follower counts.
This became more apparent when celebrities took to social media to complain about losing followers, despite years of hard work creating quality content.
The issue has intensified recently, with further research revealing that top Nigerian celebrities like Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, and others have also experienced a drop in their follower counts.
This comes days after popular Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson, media personality, Naijashimadun a.k.a Baba Egbe and others came to Instagram to lament about drop in their followers.
Wizkid who used to have 18.7million followers on Instagram now has 18.3million followers, meaning he has lost 400k followers.
Also, Davido, the “Unavailable” hitmaker who used to have 29.8million followers on Instagram now has 29.6million followers on Instagram, meaning that he has lost 200k followers. See below;

Also, singer Tiwa Savage who sued to be on 18.7million followers with Wizkid is now on 18.6million followers meaning that he has lost 100k followers.

Note that Mark Zuckerberg, an American businessman is the owner of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and its parent company Meta Platforms. He is worth over $173.4 billion and has three children.
