Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has entered the controversy surrounding his close friend, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), following VDM’s release of explosive evidence that has caused a stir on social media.

VDM’s shocking revelations implicate crossdresser Bobrisky, the EFCC, and even popular singer Falz along with his father, renowned Senior Advocate Femi Falana, in what is rapidly unfolding as one of the year’s biggest scandals.

Earlier, Hitgist reported that VDM, in a revealing video, shared a voice recording in which Bobrisky allegedly admitted to paying N15 million to EFCC officials to have his money laundering charges dropped.

The charges had been filed against Bobrisky earlier this year, but according to the crossdresser, his wealth and connections helped him escape legal consequences. The video further alleged that Bobrisky claimed to have spoken with both Falz and his father, Femi Falana, who reportedly assured him that his name would be cleared.

In another shocking revelation, Bobrisky allegedly admitted to contacting his “godfather,” who arranged for him to stay in a private apartment near the prison during his sentence.

Seun Kuti, known for his bold and fearless nature, didn’t remain silent. In a fiery live session, he revealed that it was VDM who first approached him with the explosive evidence.

The singer stated that he fully trusted VDM with the information and granted him permission to share it with the world.

What particularly frustrated Seun Kuti was the stark contrast in how justice was applied. He expressed disbelief that Bobrisky allegedly received preferential treatment from the EFCC, while he himself, despite having a more prestigious name, was incarcerated in Panti prison during his own confrontation with the Nigerian police.

The outspoken musician didn’t hold back, launching a fierce criticism of the EFCC. He claimed that the anti-graft agency was never intended to target the true enemies of the state.

According to Seun, the EFCC was merely a puppet created by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the American government, aimed at cracking down on small-time criminals like “yahoo boys” and internet fraudsters, while allowing corrupt politicians and business tycoons to operate freely.

Seun condemned the agency’s misplaced priorities, accusing it of ignoring the deep-seated political and corporate corruption plaguing Nigeria. Instead, he asserted that they focus on young internet fraudsters, whom he believes are far from being the country’s most pressing issue.
