An aide to billionaire business mogul Tony Elumelu has taken to social media to react to the trending stories making the rounds online that Davido has displaced Wizkid thereby becoming the new brand ambassador of UBA.
Recently, Wizkid born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun engages in an online feud with his industry rival Davido born David Adeleke. Many stressed that the cause of the beef was a result of the UBA gigs and the Puma Deal done by Davido. Wizkid over the past years has worked with both UBA and Puma.
Recently, singer Davido made Tony Elumelu and others excited as he delivers an amazing performance at the UBA cocktail event in USA and that was just the beginning.
Also, Tony Elemelu flew Davido from the USA to Spain where the singer performed at the at the 50th birthday of Dupe Olusola, the MD of of Transcorp Group.
In addition to serving as the Chairman of UBA, Tony Elumelu owns Transcorp Group, a large conglomerate with investments in hospitality, power, and oil & gas. He is also the founder of the investment firm Heirs Holdings.
Following this development, some social media users claimed that Davido is the new brand ambassador of Tony Elumelu’s UBA and that is one of the reason for the beef between Wizkid and Davido.
However, an X user identified as Ruth in a tweet that went viral announced to all and sundry that Davido is the new brand brand ambassador of UBA.
Reacting to the viral tweet by Ruth, an X user identified as Tobi James who is the head photographer of UBA group took to his page to quickly debunk the statement by Ruth regarding the company he works with.
In the tweet, the Head photographer at UBA confirms Davido is not their brand ambassador.
