Award-Winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid is one of the trending conversations online as he finally releases his highly anticipated song “Piece of My Heart” off his forthcoming album, Morayo.
Wizkid, released the new song “Piece of My Heart” in the midnight, October 18th 2024 and by extension has been trailed by mixed reactions online.
A new development shows that Wizkid’s new song “Piece of My Heart” featuring Brent Faiyaz who is an American singer and songwriter was written by 19 people including Wizkid.
The information however sparked mixed reactions online as it does not sit well with many most especially the fans of superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido.
Many of them slammed Wizkid, saying that if it were Davido, the internet wouldn’t be at rest now. They always accused their favourite of depending on songwriters.
According to the trending report shared by blackxcellencee on Instagram, the new song “Piece of My Heart” was performed by Wizkid and Brent Faiyaz but was written by 19 people including Wizkid.

Davido was the first artist to acknowledge Nigeria song writers for Nigeria and now Nigeria song writers are enjoying writing for both foreigners and living well. Nigeria artists used to be so ashamed of acknowledging song writers. Them go just pay the song writers small money and them nor go add their names to the credit of the song, they don’t want other people to seek their services. Davido came and changed everything.
