Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu and his wife have revealed how they split and pay bills as a couple in the home.
The veteran actor, via his Instagram page, shared a video of him and his wife engaging in a game of how they split the bills.
His wife revealed that she is the one who pays the house rent, buys foodstuffs, pays children’s school fees, pays electricity bills, buys children’s clothes, buys fuel, and pays everything payable.
The veteran actor revealed that he is the provider of the home as he is responsible for bringing out the money to pay for the bills.
He questioned what his wife’s responsibility is and she responded, saying her responsibility is to buy and pay with his money.
The veteran isn’t the only one who has spoken about how he split bills with his wife. Back in June, Media personality and actor IK Osakioduwa revealed why he will never split bills with his wife.
The entertainer, in an interview, stated that he has never split bills with his wife, as she doesn’t know how much school fees are, and if she does, she has never used her own money to pay it.
The actor made it known that he will never allow his wife pay such bills in his house.
Last year, skitmaker Kiekie stirred the internet when she opened up about her decision to share and split bills with her husband, providing a more stable partnership.
Her statement of splitting bills with her husband, didn’t sit well with many, who chided her. Actress, Peggy Ovire knocked her as she told Kiekie to admit that she earns more than her husband.
Peggy avowed that it’s her husband’s responsibility to pay the bills especially since he can afford it. For her, her duty is to take care of the home and be there for emergency cases as her husband wouldn’t allow her split bills with him.
Actress Chizzy Alichi also said she refused to be part of the women who split bills with their husbands, adding that it was all on her husband to cater for the household.
