Miss Universe Africa, Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, has returned to Nigeria after she emerged as the first-runner up at the international beauty pageant on November 16 in Mexico.

Dressed in a classy red suit, she enjoyed the lively performance of a cultural band singing and dancing in her honor. Upon entering the hall, where a special seat awaited her, she waved enthusiastically at her fans.

It can be recalled that Chidimma Adetshina finished second behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig at the 73rd Miss Universe competition. As the first runner-up, she was named Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.

Following her latest achievements, Nigerians, South Africans and people across the world have been commending her beauty and her good spirit.

A video making the rounds online showed the moment Chidimma was warmly received by Nigerians and people could not stop talking about the reception.

Some netizens felt Chidimma deserved a better reception and noted that what she got was very poor. They also asked the organizers to do another grand one for her. Some reactions are shown below:

intimatesbykoko said, “Congratulations girl 😍 We don’t play with our own❤.”

everywomansecret said, “Tinubu and all the senators and minister are not there to welcome her? She puts our name on a global stage.”

racbature said, “She worth celebrating 🎁🎉. Congratulations 👏🎉.”

@zeephatu said, “This reception is not receptioning o.”

@ijeomaekoh said, “I am very disappointed of this nonsense I am watching. So with all the effort this gorgeous girl has put together to raise our flag again, this what you guys could put together for her?. Omg this is very disappointing. I thought the first place she should have landed was in Abuja with convoy sef, to meet the president of the country. Like the president of Nigeria would have organized a well recognized reception for her and not this child’s play. I’m disappointed.”
