Nigerian award-winning singer Davido has issued a stern warning to black Americans against relocating to Africa.

In an interview on the Big Homies House podcast, the Afrobeats singer shared his thoughts on the growing interest among African Americans to relocate to Africa.

Davido warned them against making such moves, as he made them know that it isn’t cool in Africa as the economy is in shambles.

He pointed out how African citizens are being reamed, buying the homegrown oil for more than the people who get it imported.

Davido, however, made it known that he wasn’t badmouthing Africa; rather, his aim was to show off the little parts and leave the slums out of the frame.

Davido stressed that entertainment is what’s giving Africa a smokescreen to make them look good.

“It’s not cool back home. The economy now is in shambles”.

His statement has divided netizens as while some concurred with him, others berated him for painting Africa in a bad light.
