Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido in a recent interview discloses why he used to bring foreign artistes to Nigeria for music collaborations.
Davido, the “Unavailable” crooner is a major Nigeria artistes who used to bring foreign artistes to Nigeria to shoot their music videos and have fun since he breaks into the Nigeria industry for over 10 years now.
Davido has brought artistes like, famous US rapper Rick Ross, Da Baby also from the United States of America, Nasty C from South Africa, YG Marley from Jamaica, Kai Cenat among others.
The Rick Ross & Davido Live in Lagos Concert was sponsored by Immensum Stellar Live (I.S.L). Additionally, Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, popularly known as DaBaby, arrived in Lagos from Germany for a music video shoot with Nigerian music superstar Davido.
Nasty C visited Nigeria in 2018, where he performed his hit track “Coolest Kid in Africa” to an enthusiastic audience of Nigerian fans who sang and danced along with him.
This year 2024, Davido had massive fun with popular America streamer Kai Cenat in Lagos. The singer also brought YG Marley to Nigeria for the video shoot of their hit song “Awuke” which was released few weeks ago.
Speaking on why he keeps doing this, Davido said that he always invites foreign artistes to Nigeria so that they can see the actual situation of things in Lagos and Nigeria compared to the bad narration being spread around about the county and the continent at large.
Davido said that he has most of his luxurious mansions and expensive automobiles in Nigeria and whenever these artistes comes they feel like they are in heaven as they all could not believe their eyes compare to the bad narrations that have been spread over the years. The singer added all his awards are also kept in his mansions in Nigeria.
