“I am so emotional right now. This is such a surprise” – Mercy Aigbe shed tears as Moyo Lawal gifts her N500k to support her new movie following her burnt property

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has been left emotional over a grand gesture from her colleague, Moyo Lawal.

Hitgist reported on Wednesday that Mercy revealed that she had lost her Lagos mansion to a fire incident. The movie star shared a video of the aftermath of her property, as she expressed how devastated she was.

Following this, Moyo Lawal showed love to her by gifting her N500k to support her new movie, Thinline, which would be premiering sometime this month.

In a now-deleted post on her Instagram page, Mercy shared a screenshot of the transaction as she expressed gratitude to Moyo. She stated that she has been left overwhelmed with the love shown to her. An emotional Mercy stated that this was such a surprise for her as she appreciated her.

“Alongside a screenshot of the transaction Mercy Aigbe wrote,

“Omg, @moyolawalofficial just sent me 500k to support my movie. I am so overwhelmed with the love shown to me by everyone.

“I am so emotional right now, @moyolawalofficial. This is such a surprise. God bless you immensely! I am so so so grateful. Guys, please help me say a big Thank You to her.”

Speaking out following her burnt house, Mercy responded generally to everyone who had reached out to her, as she noted how her phone had been buzzing with calls, messages, and prayers.

An overwhelmed Aigbe expressed how each message, support, and prayer meant for her, praying evil will not befall her well-wishers.

husband, Kazim Adeoti, had shown support to her, noting how they have been tested, but their faith remains strong. He stated that he stands firmly with Mercy and believes with God by their side, they shall recover in multiple folds. Encouraging her, he told her to keep being strong, vibrant and focused.

Many of Mercy Aigbe’s colleagues had also shown support to her. Iyabo Ojo expressed gratitude that no lives were lost, as she told the couple that God is with them and He will help them rebuild and create something more beautiful.

 

The mother of two added that the loss isn’t the end but a new beginning; as such, they should stay strong and offer support to the couple.

Adeniyi Johnson stated that neither she nor anyone deserves such loss, especially at this time. Sending his love and heart to her, he prayed that God would replenish their loss and make them come out better and stronger.

Liz Da Silva, noted how in the darkest hour is when the soul gets replenished and given strength to continue and endure. Liz further noted how joy comes in the morning as she prayed for a millionfold blessings on Mercy and her husband.
