Nigerian comedian Otaghware O Onodjayeke, better known as I Go Save, has cried out over the level of hunger in the country.
Taking to his Instagram page, he stated that the hunger in this country is so loud that one doesn’t need earphones to hear the sound. I Go Save revealed that the number of people asking him for help this Christmas is an all-time record breaker.
Sending a message to Nigerians, he told them to lend a helping hand to whoever they can.
“The hunger in this country is so loud that you don’t need earphones to hear the sound.
The amount of I need small favors for Xmas on my phone this year is an all-time record breaker!
Please lend a helping hand to whoever ever you can help if it’s convenient for you”.
I Go Save adds to the list of celebrities who have spoken out on the economic hardship.
Similarly, Yul Edochie had sent a message to Nigerians amid economic hardship. He stated that the N5k or N10k they might give to someone can stop them from committing sui!cide or crime. He noted how it is tough for so many out there, so people should help each other.
Media personality Do2dtun has also lamented the economic hardship and how it has taken a toll on begging. He noted how begging is now very hard as one would need special grace and extra skill. He noted how the cheapest meal is now expensive as he admonished his fans and followers to eat purposefully, avoid wasting food, and develop more skills.
Similarly, Nkechi had lamented after spending N150k on a few foodstuffs at Sunday market in Ogba. She questioned what was the way forward, as she noted how Nigerians aren’t complaining about the economy anymore as she questioned if they are comfortable with the hardship.
