Former African Footballer of the Year and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has taken to social media to react after being accused of flaunting a custom-made diamond pendant instead of congratulating Ademola Lookman.
Recall that Ademola Lookman emerged as the 2024 African Men’s Player of the Year at the CAF Award on December 16th, 2024 which took place in Marrakech, Morocco.
However, while fellow Super Eagles players were seen celebrating their colleague Ademola Lookman after winning the African Best Player by posting him on their IG stories, it was contrary for Victor Osimehn, the 2023 African Best Player.
Instead of a congratulatory message, Victor Osimhen who now plays for Galatasaray in Turkey flaunted his latest showstopper a custom-made diamond pendant worth millions. The pendant also features his trademark ‘VO9’ encrusted in rose gold.
However, many have started criticizing Victor Osimhen online for not congratulating the new African footballer of the year Ademola Lookman just like his other colleagues.
An X user identified as @IboyiSenusi wrote; “Have you congratulate lookman??”
Osimhen responded that he has messaged Ademola Lookman via DM after his game that day the winger won the award around 23:49 Turkish time.
He tweeted; “Yes bro since yesterday,immediately after my game,sent a text around 23:49 Turkish time.him go reply me soon,cos I know say message choke for him phone wella😂.”

Osimhen reacted; “😂😂them dey joke,them no say I definitely congratulate am immediately after my game😁”

Osimhen reacted; “Done since yesterday around 23:49 Turkish time.😁.”
