For Gold Certification: 500,000 units sold for albums, 1,000,000 units sold for singles, for Platinum Certification: 1,000,000 units sold for albums, 2,000,000 units sold for singles, and for Diamond Certification: 10,000,000 units sold.
However, According to the RIAA’s Top Artists by Digital Singles, Wizkid ranks as the #2 best-selling Nigerian artist in the USA, with 6.5 million units sold. 🇺🇸.
Recall that in the year 2023, Wizkid emerges as the number 1st best-selling Nigerian artiste in the USA with 5.5M+ Units, followed by Ckay 4M+ Units, Rema 3M+ Units, Burna Boy 2.5M+ Units, Davido 1.5M+ Units and Tems 1.5M+ Units.
Meanwhile, Wizkid being the second best-selling Nigerian artiste in the USA triggered widespread reactions as many have started questioning who is the number 1 best selling Nigerian artiste in the USA.
Singer CKay ranks as the #1 bestselling Nigerian artist in USA with 8 MILLION units sold courtesy of his worldwide hit song Love Nwantiti followed by Wizkid with 6.5million and in third position is Rema with 5 million unit sold.
