Davido dislikes me because he doesn’t want me to be bigger than him – Portable recounts as he hails Wizkid, Burna Boy & other artists (Video)

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has shed light on his feud with Davido while acknowledging the artists who have supported him throughout his music career.

The singer took to his Instagram page as he shared a video where he expressed his gratitude to Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy and Skepta.

While appreciating, he revealed that Davido did not want him to be bigger, recounting his experience with him during a dinner in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States on 7 June.

 

Recall that Portable and Davido involved in an alleged beef after the latter advised him against signing with Sony Music, a major record label, suggesting he join Empire instead.

The ‘Brotherhood’ crooner claimed that Davido’s advice to sign with Empire instead of Sony Music did not align with his Grammy ambitions.”

However, Portable accused Davido of giving him bad advice, implying that Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, might have ulterior motives that could hinder Portable’s success, including winning prestigious awards like the Grammy.

In the recent video, Portable stated that Davido spited him and did not want him to have a good career in the music industry.

While he was lamenting, he stated that Wizkid was the reason people started giving him money, recounting how Big Wiz gave me huge money to him when he saw him with rapper Olamide.

He also emphasized that Olamide will continue to be his forever helper. He also thanked American rapper Skepta for giving him the royalties of their music collaboration ‘Tony Montana’, linking him up with Sony Music.
