Award-winning Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has made headlines once again following his recent interview in Paris.
The “Unavailable” crooner recently shared an interesting response when asked if anyone had ever made him feel broke despite his massive wealth.
Recall that Davido made a striking appearance at Amiri’s fall/winter show on Paris Fashion Week 2025. The event, held on January 23, 2025, at the Palais de Tokyo, saw Davido, alongside fellow artist Omah Lay, gracing the front row in support of designer Mike Amiri.
In an interview snippet making the rounds on social media, Davido was asked a lighthearted but intriguing question, “Who made Davido feel broke?”
In response, with a hearty laugh, Davido simply said, “My dad.”
It is worth noting that Davido is one of the richest musicians in Nigeria with a net worth estimated to be $90 million as 2025, owing it to his endorsement deals, international collaborations, and hit songs. In several interviews, the singer made it known that he has a disciplined father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke. According to Davido, it took him years to know that his father is a very wealthy man.
