Hours after 2Baba announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, a woman who lived nearby shared her thoughts on their relationship.
On Sunday, January 26, 2025, 2Baba took to his verified Instagram page to confirm their split, shocking fans.
Following the announcement, a woman named Roberta Edu revealed that she was deeply affected by the news, admitting that she wept and prayed upon hearing it.
In a Facebook post, Roberta Edu claimed that she once lived near Annie in Ajah before she married 2Baba.
In her words; “I prayed and cried last night for Annie like a child. 🥹🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Y’all don’t know that Annie and I lived in Thomas Estate, Ajah when Isabella was small, and she hadn’t married 2Baba yet. I knew to an extent what the grooming with him did to her, and how marrying him was the solution to what they started when she was a child.
Being with 2Baba is the only thing Annie ever dreamed of and wanted for life. Leaving him would break her into pieces. That girl has no solid friendships, family, life, or identity outside of 2Baba. I prayed, wept, and cried. Even God asked me, “Shey you say prayer doesn’t work like that?” I said, “God, no mind me, just fix this one for us.” May we not have problems that turn us into prayer warriors.”

Enwerem Ogochukwu: I’m glad tubaba left, maybe annie will go back to the movies, make something out of her life. Talking about grooming, annie hasnt been 15 for years now. Sunmbo saw the walking red flag innocent was and took a big walk. Look at her life today.
Rosannah Fubara: If there is one thing I have learnt it is the need for self preservation, it doesn’t matter who You’re loving parents o spouse o siblings o child o preserve some love for yourself…it doesn’t matter how much sacrifices have been made to build that relationship be quick to yank off any relationship that threatens your mental health. It is better that way than to invest everything and voluntarily be a victim in the long run 👌.
Mariafrancez Ntoñgha Moses : I feel really sad for Annie and pray she finds peace.
Nsisong Mkpenge: It hurts me that she has no identity outside 2baba The only time she is mentioned or the reason she is famous is sticking to that guy through it all Taking care of others children… Outside that she is nothing..no one would mention her…now that the identity is gonna be stripped off… what becomes of her… This one pain me like menstrual cramps o😭😭.
Blessing Sunday: We all should try and put herself first no matter how you love a man. Annie will be fine, she needs to find herself outside of a man, she is an adult. I wouldn’t for anything love a man more than i love myself, yes, i may tolerant sh😂t from him but that doesn’t mind i will lost my sanity in a place where i was not put as priority.
Eberechukwu G. Onyedimma-Orjiakor: She can pick herself up now, it’s difficult but not impossible.
Comfort Onyaga: I felt it to my marrow and prayed for her as well. Safe to say I was as devastated as her because what on earth was she building and who was she defending? It is nerve-racking… I hope I recover from this. 🤧😭😭😭.
