Controversial influencer Daniel Regha, known on X (formerly Twitter), recently criticized Afrobeats superstar Davido for participating in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Singer Davido, the “Awuke” crooner got many people talking online as he made it known to all and sundry yesterday, November 5th, 2024 that he cast his vote in Atlanta, Georgia.

In his words; ““I’m a Georgia voter, I secured my vote, First-time voter.”

Note that the 2024 US presidential election between former president Donald Trump (Republican) and Vice President, Kamala Harris (Democrat) was held yesterday. As of the moment of filling this content, Donald Trump has emerged the winner of the election making him the 47th president of the United States.

However, Davido voting in the 2024 US general election and his failure to vote during 2023 General election did not sit down well with Daniel Regha who refers to the development by Davido as sickening.

Daniel Regha wrote; “Davido didn’t participate in the 2023 Nigerian general election, there’s no proof of him voting on the presidential election day; But he’s quick & happy to participate in the US election. This is sickening.”

@abazwhyllzz: He was born there,he is a US citizen,he has every right to vote there so he decided to vote where his votes will count he decided to vote where elections will not be rigged so mind your business and go and treat your sick sef from your sickness.

tuntun_yums: Everyone shouting “people that vote; did it count” — do you know what they say about a lie being told for generations and propaganda— half of the nation’s population didn’t vote. You think your vote don’t have power and those men will be spending tens of millions to “campaign”? Think about it when you ask the average Nigerian what they were doing during the election; it was a public holiday while they prayed and eagerly waited for those that went to vote— then start shouting when their candidate didn’t win. Nigeria is messed up; but how much can they rig if 60% of us ACTUALLY VOTE?

daniel_blaq: 😂lol no be there dem born am? No be where him children future dey? Please fight your Politicians.. no be these Artistes put us for wahala.. they can’t get us out of it.. 😮‍💨 leave them Alone.. they don’t even owe Nigeria Patriotism.. na choice.. “voting in Nigeria”. E no go still count!!! Or some people will still sell their votes for 2k.

sugardestiny_official: Davido is an American citizen. He will definitely vote where he see hope and future.

yourscart: He has dual citizenship, he voted in a country were his vote would count, since the USA election have you heard that any tout snatched ballots box? or did you hear that there are people oppressing the voter cos they refuse to vote for a certain candidate? FREE DAVIDO, he has every right to vote where ever he pleases.
