Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has spoken out in response to the recent uproar surrounding the arrest of social media critic Verydarkman (VDM) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a comedic video that quickly gained traction online, the renowned podcaster humorously depicted the alleged abduction of VDM by EFCC agents. The video showcased Nedu’s playful dramatization of the incident, using humor to address the serious matter.
Shortly after, the video escalates with two masked men who rush in, forcibly blindfold Nedu with a black cloth, and carry him away, mirroring the rumored situation involving VDM.
Kokopee, a close friend of VDM and an emerging artist, has shared a new account of the disturbing events. According to Kokopee, the arrest was not only violent but also deeply traumatic. He reported that armed individuals stormed the bank where VDM was, attacking him in front of his elderly mother.
An onlooker who witnessed the incident described how VDM was beaten and dragged out of the bank. Before the physical assault, it was claimed that VDM was covered with a dark cloth, possibly to disorient him.
Kokopee went on to allege that the EFCC is specifically targeting VDM due to his possession of sensitive information about the agency. He further claimed that there have been multiple attempts on VDM’s life, including alleged poisoning, and promised to reveal more details in the near future.
