Renowned Afrobeat music sensation, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known as D’banj, has penned appreciation notes to popular rap star Olamide for his contribution towards his newly released song titled “Koko”.
D’banj, who recently reflected on his musical career with the hit single “Since ’04”, took to his Instagram page to share a snippet of the song, sparking reactions online.
According to the Koko Master, his new song will be included in his forthcoming album and it was written by YBNL boss Olamide, to whom he gave a big shoutout for blessing him with an amazing jam.
He asked his fans on Instagram what the word “Koko” has meant to them from 2004 to the present while sharing a video of himself and friends dancing to the song.
He wrote, “What does the Koko mean to you Since’04 and right now in 2024? ‘Koko’ from my upcoming album out now! Big shoutout to my brother @olamide Baddo LEE for blessing me with this jam and to the amazing producer @eskeezondbeat 💥 You can call this ‘The new KoKo anthem’! Run it up💥 OooSHeeee”.
The snippets triggered massive reactions and gained traction as his colleagues Don Jazzy, Teni Entertainer, 2Baba, and many more shared their comments, all praising and endorsing the jam.
This comes after D’banj invited his friend and Mo’hits Records business partner, Don Jazzy, to his 20th-anniversary dinner, where he acknowledged him for the giant role he played in his music career.
