Popular Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, has finally addressed the explosive claims made by social media activist, Verydarkman (VDM).
In a voice recording leaked online, Verydarkman accused Bobrisky of bribing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to clear his money laundering case.
It is no longer news the crossdresser social media personality and crossdresser was sentenced to six months imprisonment on a Friday morning, April 12, 2024. However, VDM alleged that Bobrisky did not serve his term and paid his way out of prison.
The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, reacted to the viral voice recording in a statement on Tuesday, saying the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.
In latest development, Bobrisky took to his Instagram page as he denied all the accusations against him, stating that he served all his jail term and did not bribe any EFCC member in exchange to drop the money laundering charges.
He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”
It is worth noting that the drama started when Verydarkman dragged Bobrisky for refusing to pay back a N4 million debt he borrowed from a friend.
