Corp members overjoyed as Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu arrives at the NYSC camp and promises each corper N100,000.
As the participants of the Batch B stream I finished their orientation course today, Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived to speak to them.
During his speech, he promised N5 billion for the construction of a new permanent location for Lagos NYSC camp.
He also promised to give N100,000 to each Lagos corper passing out.
Furthermore, he guaranteed automatic employment in the Lagos Public Service for the first top 100 corps members following their service in the present batch.
The significant announcements are
- Allocation of N5 billion for the construction of a new permanent site for the Lagos NYSC Camp.
- N100,000 for each Youth Corps member passing out today, to be deposited directly into their accounts next week.
- Automatic employment in the Lagos Public Service for the top 100 Corps members after their service year for this batch.
- Delivery of a 32-seater Hyundai bus to the camp today.
The news has been greeted with wild roars of assent from the members of the Batch B stream I.
