Davido is one of the trending conversations online as video-sharing company YouTube takes down his viral wedding song Ogechi Remix due to copyright claims.
Recall on his superlative wedding with Chioma on June 25th 2024, Davido featured in a new song “Ogechi Remix” owned by singers BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel.
Davido introduced his wife’s name, Chioma in the song lyrics using the same style used in the original song and by extension captured the hearts of music lovers.
After the song “Ogechi Remix” was released on the singer’s wedding day, it was followed by a music video which was released on July 19th 2024.“
Meanwhile, Davido has been trending online after it was confirmed that his wedding viral song “Ogechi Remix” has been brought down due to copyright infringement.

A quick check confirms that the song audio is still on the Boy Pee YouTube page. Note that the “Ogechi Remix” music video was placed on Davido’s YouTube page.
The song properties on YouTube page show that Davido was not acknowledged at all.
Information trending online confirms the actual owner of the “Ogechi” song before Boy Pee and 2 other singers sang it then followed up by Davido hopping on the Remix.
