Popular Nigerian disc jockey Florence Ifeoluwa Otdeola professionally known as DJ Cuppy goes emotional as Herbert Wigwe daughter reflects on life without her parents and brother in the last one year.
Recall that Herbert Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Bank and a prominent Nigerian banker, tragically died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024, in California, USA.
He died alongside his wife Chizoba Wigwe, his son Chizi, Abimbola Ogunbanjo (former chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group) and two (2) pilots.
However, Tochi has broken her silence, pouring out her heart in an emotional tribute to her deceased family members on their first remembrance.
Prominent figures, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, French President Emmanuel Macron, and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, gathered to honor the memory of the late Herbert Wigwe.
Tochi, in a post on her Instagram page, shared pictures of her father, mother and brother Chizi Wigwe, reflecting on how she has endured the past 12 months without them.
She revealed that she had experienced a lifetime of emotions over the past year, ranging from laughter to tears, joy, anger, and sadness.
Tochi shared that she has had to rediscover herself and embrace the strength needed to become a solid foundation for her younger siblings.
In her words;” It has been a year since I lost the three greatest pillars in my life – my father, Herbert Wigwe; my mother, Doreen Wigwe; and my brother, Chizi Wigwe. In the last 12 months, I’ve lived through a lifetime of emotions: laughter, tears, joy, anger, and sadness. But most of all, I’ve grappled with the challenge of finding my way back to happiness, rediscovering who I am, and embracing the strength I need to become a solid foundation for my younger siblings.
The coffee table tribute books are curated reflections, which bring to life personal memories. They tangibly honor my family and the profound impact they had on all of us.”
