Popular Nollywood actress cum politician Tonto Dike has been under fire following her recent advise to the angry Nigerian youths over the ongoing protest against economic hardship.

As the planned nationwide protest against hunger begins today, the organizers and the police, the lead security agency, have maintained their stances, with the organizers insisting on a street procession.

Many Nigerians have stormed on the street in thousands with placards explaining their reasons for protest and the hashtag #Endbadgovernance.

While many were on street lamenting about the outrageous food price, fuel hike among many other, Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram page to share statistics showing the success Nigeria has obtained under the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She captioned the post, “Statistics don’t lie: everyone is working to get this country to where we want it to be. One thing about Nigerians is that if they don’t like you, nothing you do will ever be good enough for them. Let’s not deny this glaring truth. Stay safe and make wise decisions always.”

That you have enough food in your house just like I do doesn’t mean you should deny the fact that people are suffering. I do not hate PBAT but I hate the fact that he is using ya’all to tactical make it look like Nigeria is better in his hands. Stop it my dear”.
