Nollywood’s beloved actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again proven her prowess in the film industry with her latest blockbuster, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa
The movie, which continues the hilarious and heartwarming saga of the iconic Jenifa character, has garnered an impressive $194,560 (approximately N300 million) in international cinemas across the UK, US, Canada, and other countries. This was achieved just 8 days after its release in international cinemas.
‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ premiered internationally on December 20th and has been warmly received by audiences in major cities worldwide. From sold-out screenings in London to packed theaters in New York, the movie has resonated deeply with fans of Nollywood.
In Nigeria, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ set a new benchmark in Nollywood. With N783 million earned within weeks of its release, it became the highest-grossing Nigerian movie of all time.
Funke Akindele shared her excitement via her Instagram page as she shared photos showcasing her huge milestone. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God, his casts and fans who made out their time to watch her blockbuster movie.
