Oyekanmi Jethro Adekola, a Yoruba film actor, has come out to discuss some of his challenges in the industry and to reveal how much actor Owolabi Ajasa paid him after he appeared in one of his films.

According to the video that was shared on the official YouTube channel of Mtec TV during an interactive session, he claimed that actor Owolabi Ajasa paid him only seven hundred naira when he was invited to feature in one of his movies at the time.

When asked about the first time he was paid for a job outside his theatre group, he said, “Since I’m in the theatre group of my brother Odunlade Adekola, he always features me in most of his movies. Odunlade Adekola always pays actors very well, including me, and he does not think of taking advantage of me as his brother.

Actor Owolabi invited me to feature in his movie, and he paid me just 700 naira. The payment that I received from Owolabi was the first payment that I received from outside my theatre group.”
