A video showing fast-rising singer Muyeez and Afrobeat star Burna Boy has surfaced online following his recent exit from his record label, ‘Dapper music & Entertainment’, owned by celebrity chef Hilda Baci’s fiance Damilola Akinwunmi.
Muyeez, whose real name is Moshood Abdulmuiz, is an emerging Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter who rose to fame in 2024 with his debut hit “Instagram” featuring Seyi Vibez.
Early this year, the 16-year-old artist signed a contract deal with Dapper Music but had to terminate it due to inhumane treatment, according to the press statement he released via his Instagram page.
He made it known that despite the releases of two EPs, he’s yet to receive any royalty. This came after singer Shallipopi ended his contract with the record label.
Although Dapper Music had addressed the allegations of financial exploitation and others, fans have been throwing shade at the record label.
Amid his fallout, Muyeez was spotted chilling with Burna Boy at a nightclub in Lagos. In the video, he was seen respectfully greeting Burna and fans could not stop talking about how humble he is.
