Super Eagles and Atlanta of Italy winger Ademola Lookman is presently one of the trending conversations online as he wins the 2024 CAF Mens Player of the year.
At the 2024 CAF Award taking place in Marrakech, Morocco today, December 16th 2024, Ademola Lookman confirms his status as one of the best players in the world in the current calendar year.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward shook off competitions from South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Cote d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, and Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy to win the prize.
His win means the award remains in Nigeria after teammate Victor Osimhen won it last year.
Notably, Ademola Lookman made headlines in 2024 after scoring a hat trick in the Europa League final for Atalanta against the German side Bayer Leverkusen, who had remained unbeaten for 361 days.
