A Nigerian shoemaker shocked many when he fainted on the road due to extreme hunger, but was immediately helped by passersby who bought him food and drinks and also contributed ₦5,000 for him.
This was revealed in a video making waves on social media, showing the incident.
The video, captioned “Aboki man fell down on the street because of hunger in Adaba,” shows a man believed to be the shoemaker lying on the ground, having reportedly lost all his strength due to hunger.
Moments into the video, several passersby could be seen surrounding him, offering him a plate of rice and a soft drink.
After he finished eating, a person could be seen handing him the sum of ₦5,000 so he could buy himself something to eat later.
