Controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, aka Verydarkman (VDM) has weighed into the drama surrounding former Marlian signee, Idowu Emmanuel, professionally known as Lil Smart.
Lil Smart was recently arrested over his explosive allegations against his former label boss, controversial rapper Naira Marley.
Recall that Lil Smart alleged that Naira Marley and Zinoleesky orchestrated a violent assault, stating that he was kidnapped, beaten, and robbed of $300 by the rapper and his Marlian crew.
He also claimed that Naira Marley bribed police officers across Lagos to avoid justice and falsely implicated him in a complex credit card fraud scheme.
In a recent statement by the Nigerian police force, Lil Smart admitted in his written statement that his allegations against Naira Marley were fabricated. This confession came after his arrest on January 28, 2025, at his residence for defamation.
In a video shared by Verydarkman, he remarked that Lil Smart could end up in prison. He claimed that the former Marlian signee had admitted to fabricating the allegations just to get Naira Marley’s attention.
VDM claimed that Lil Smart had accused Lagos State police officers of corruption, alleging that Naira Marley bribed them to manipulate his case.
He further stated that the case had to be transferred to Abuja due to the allegations against the police. VDM added that upon seeing Naira Marley, Lil Smart became humble, broke down in tears, and began confessing his lies.
In the recording, the activist stated that when Lil Smart’s mother learned about the case, she broke down in tears, revealing that he was her only son. VDM acknowledged that he also has a mother and wouldn’t want to see her in pain.
He added that it was out of consideration for Lil Smart’s mother and the fact that he was just a young boy that he decided to help him. Sharing his plan, he promised to go to the police station and beg on his behalf so that he would not go to prison.
In the post, Verydarkman shared his conversations with Lil Smart, revealing that the dancer had insulted him and deleted all their chats. However, he managed to screen-record some of their exchanges before they were erased.
He further stated that after sending Lil Smart the promised N1 million, the dancer made certain remarks that made him realize he had been lying about Naira Marley.
Verydarkman captioned the video, “It looks like lil smart might be going to pr!$0n oo,he has admitted that everything was a lie and no evidence to those claims even though he made everyone believe he had evidence,now where are all the people pushing him,make sure you get him big lawyers so he can give them evidence maybe he didn’t want to show police his evidence and might want to show a big lawyer,so get him a San.”
