Popular Nigerian nightlife influencer Yhemolee has taken to social media to react to the viral clip of Wizkid old school mate “Dare Akapo of sociology” calling the singer’s name at an event.
Award-Winning Nigeria singer Wizkid born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun is presently trending on the photo and video sharing platfrom Instagram following the video of his old school mate trying to get his attention by calling him saying “Deji, this is Dare Akapo of sociology LASU” while the singer was about to kickstart a performance in Lagos.
Note that Wizkid attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School for his secondary education. He later enrolled at Lagos State University (LASU) but dropped out. He then briefly attended Lead City University but left after two sessions to focus on his music career.
In the viral video shared on Instagram, Wizkid was spotted with the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka among other heavy securities as he was about to perform when the Uni colleague was calling the singer.
In the video, the Wizkid Uni colleague could be heard reportedly saying “Deji, this is Dare Akapo of sociology.”
However, Wizkid attention was not captured as the singer’s attention was to perform on stage to the delight of his fans which he did effortlessly.
Reacting, Yhemolee, a father of one bursted into heavy laughter after seeing the clip of Wizkid old school mate saying “Deji, Dare Akapo of socilogy, LASU” further stressing that the comment “Him papa name no ring bell” makes him laugh harder.
Wizkid is probably the richest Nigerian music at the moment, he is well known for his classic hits over the years and by extension drives luxurious automobiles and also have palatial mansion in Lagos, UK, USA, among others. He could have forgot his days in LASU as the singer later dropped out of the school to face his musical career.
