Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, popularly known as the Happie Boys, have caused a stir on social media with a heartfelt plea to Nigerian critic and activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.
The Happie Boys first gained widespread attention in 2022 for their viral dance moves while on duty as security guards, which led to their sudden dismissal and skyrocketed them to internet fame.
However, their rapid rise to fame was tainted by controversy when they openly disrespected Apostle Chibuzor, the man who had helped them and funded their studies abroad. This act of ingratitude drew the ire of Verydarkman, known for his outspoken critiques, who harshly criticized them for their blatant disrespect.
Now, the tables have turned dramatically. Back in Nigeria and reportedly back to square one, the Happie Boys—who had previously mocked Verydarkman for his heated disputes with brand influencers and celebrities—find themselves in an ironic twist of fate.
In a live video session with their fans, the duo was seen and heard pleading with Verydarkman, desperately asking him for job opportunities.
Whether their plea was sincere or tinged with sarcasm remains unclear.
