Hushpuppi associate Olalekan Jacob Ponle, alias Mr Woodberry has taken to social media to send a strong message to Nigerians after being released by the FBI following money laundering.
Recall that on May 29th 2024, Hitgist reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had released Notorious Internet fraudster Woodberry.
Mr Woodberry was arrested in Dubai on June 10, 2020, alongside his close friend Ramon Hushpuppi Abbas, currently serving an 11-year sentence for a similar fraud charge.
In April 2023, Intel Region reported that Woodberry, a close friend of Hushpuppi, pleaded guilty to internet fraud and agreed to pay $8 million (N6B) in restitution to victims, as well as forfeit his luxury assets in Dubai.
In July 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) hinted at the potential release of Hushpuppi’s associate, Mr. Woodberry, following the move to sell his 152 bitcoins, valued at N3.6 billion.
While many were still doubtful of his release, Woodberry today, August 9th 2024 finally confirmed to all and sundry that he has finally been released by the FBI.
In the post shared via the insta-stories section of his official Instagram page, Woodberry finally breaks the silence.
Woodberry said that he has so much trust in God and by extension he lacks nothing. He said;
“God is my source, I will lack nothing.”
