Wunmi Aloba, the wife of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba professionally as Mohbad has finally agreed to do a DNA test for her son Liam one year after the singer passed away.
Recall that earlier this year, Wunmi Aloba during an Instagram live session made headlines as she disclosed that she would never do any DNA. She also stressed that it was Mohbad who disvirgined him.
In her words; “I will never do any DNA test, no one can tell me to do DNA on my son Liam, Mohbad was the one who Disvirgined Me, and I have never slept with any Man other man in my entire life except Mohbad.”
In a newly surfaced video, Barrister Akingbolu, Wunmi’s lawyer, announced that Wunmi has agreed to undergo the long-debated DNA test for her son, Liam. This test aims to prove once and for all to her father-in-law, Mr. Joseph Aloba, and other doubters that Liam is indeed Mohbad’s son.
Barrister Akingbolu explained that Wunmi’s previous hesitation to undergo the DNA test, despite initially agreeing, was due to immense pressure following her husband’s death—a relentless wave from Mr. Aloba and a legion of online critics who, he claimed, weaponized grief to corner her.
Akingbolu leveled serious accusations against Mr. Aloba, alleging that he used the media to orchestrate a smear campaign against his own daughter-in-law and grandson.
He further shared that Wunmi’s decision to proceed with the DNA test—without a court mandate—was not merely an act of compliance but a powerful stand for her son’s dignity and her late husband’s legacy.
