A Nigerian lady battling asthma has taken to social media to express her frustration over the rising cost of essential medication.

According to her, the price of her inhaler, which previously cost less than N4,500, has now surged to N10,000, making it difficult for her to afford the life-saving drug.

The lady, who is taking part in the ongoing 30-day rant challenge, expressed her frustration over how inflation in Nigeria has impacted her health.

She revealed that she initially switched from her preferred inhaler brand, Ventolin, to a more affordable alternative due to rising costs. However, with the recent price hike, she can no longer afford either option.

The lady went ahead to beg the Nigerian government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to regulate the cost of essential medications.

Her video quickly went viral, sparking widespread reactions from Nigerians who shared similar concerns. Many netizens sympathized with her plight, while others pointed out the increasing cost of healthcare and the economic challenges facing the country.
