Nigerian artist Crown Uzama, known as Shallipopi, stated that he does not smoke, even though he appears with cigarettes in his photos and videos.

He explained that he uses cigarettes for visual appeal.

He shared this in a recent interview with Soundcity.

“One thing that my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke. It’s just aesthetics,” he said.

On what inspired him to do music, Shallipopi said, “What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country.”

In other news, Media personality Toke Makinwa has amusingly disclosed that she opted to cancel a date in favor of indulging in her passion for a Korean drama series.

The fashion icon, who has recently indicated her willingness to consider marriage again, shared this candid revelation on X (formerly Twitter).

Toke revealed that she decided to spend her evening watching the K-drama “Captivating the King” instead of going on the date.

In her post, she humorously compared the pressures of modern dating to an interview process.

She wrote:

“I cancelled a date tonight cos of K drama, 😂😂😂😂. I hope he doesn’t see this o but dates these days be like interview, ma bimi ni jamb questions Jo 😂 let me watch ‘Captivating the King’ in peace.”

The post has gained significant attention, eliciting responses from fans who praised her relatable sense of humor and affection for Korean entertainment. While some playfully mocked her for favoring a drama over a date, others recounted their own experiences of opting for personal comfort instead of succumbing to the pressures of social engagements.

@ifetemini wrote, “Canceled one yesterday with the excuse that I need to rest . Tire of answering “ what’s your favorite colour” . If we are not going to dance or outside activities , don’t call me. we go again with the favorite colour question next year dakun.”

@Classymsmide reacted, “That series will totally Captivate you till the end and let your tissue paper be close by.”
