Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo is blessing fans with her wedding story.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she revealed that as a young girl, she always dreamed of wearing a beautiful white wedding dress and having an intimate garden ceremony with just her and her prince charming. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as she planned.

She said her mother, who was a staunch Christian and prayer warrior, hoped that Biodun, who was her only daughter, would marry properly with her bride price paid, but life took a different turn. She said that her biggest pain on her wedding day was that her mother wasn’t there to witness it.

The mother of two added that she thought her dreams were shattered when she became a single mum and she was judged and labeled, but God rewrote her story. She stated that her greatest gifts are her children as she noted how God never makes mistakes and dies everything at the right time.

Using herself as a case study, she stated that no matter how dark the tunnel may seem, there’s always light at the end as she rained prayers on those crying to God for a change.

“A BIT OF MY STORY!

As a young girl, I always dreamed of wearing a beautiful white wedding dress and having an intimate garden ceremony, a simple, elopement-style wedding with just me and my Prince Charming. No crowds.

Hmmmm! My mom, a staunch Christian and prayer warrior, always hoped her only daughter would marry properly, with her bride price paid. But life took a different turn, it didn’t go as we planned. I remember days when my mom and I would talk about how colorful my wedding day would be.
My biggest pain on my wedding day was that my mom wasn’t there to witness it. RIP, Mom! I miss you deeply, and no one can ever fill your void. The tears from you not being here anymore are tears I’m not sure will ever dry!

As a single mom, I once felt my dreams were shattered. I was judged and labeled, but God rewrote my story. My children are the greatest gifts of my life. God never makes mistakes. He does everything at the right time.

Today, I celebrate God for blessing me with the man of my dreams, the children I prayed for, and the family I longed for.

Rejoice with me, and if you desire a similar testimony, tap into it because I’ve gone through my share of heartbreaks and sheges, but God came through, giving me exactly what I prayed for.

No matter how dark the tunnel may seem, there’s always light at the end.

I pray for everyone crying out to God for a change. He will rewrite your story, and your testimony shall be permanent! Amen

To God, all be the glory!
Happy New Year!”.
