Yetunde Ogunsola, a seasoned Yoruba Nollywood actress, has offered a very personal account of her past in which she describes how her commitment to her career once compelled her to make a painful choice.

Kunle Afod, a well-known actress, recently spoke on her official YouTube channel about how she left her ailing father in the hospital to go on a film tour with her late husband, Chief Timothy Ishola Ogunsola, also known as “I Sho Pepper.”

Ogunsola explained that her father had fallen seriously ill, prompting her uncle, who was the vice-chancellor at the time, to take him to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan for treatment.

However, just a day after his admission, she was called upon for a movie tour. As a key member of the technical team responsible for displaying the movie, her presence was important.

Faced with the tough choice between staying by her father’s side or fulfilling her professional obligation, she ultimately chose to go on the tour.

Despite her heavy heart, she traveled with her husband, “I Sho Pepper,” leaving her father in the care of medical professionals. She spent over a week on the tour, during which she continued her work commitments.

In her words; “There was a time my father was very sick. He was so ill that his brother had to come and take him from our house to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan. His brother was the vice-chancellor at that time. A day after he was admitted, I Sho Pepper called us for a movie tour. For this tour, I was one of the most important people needed because I was the one supposed to handle the machine to display the movie. There was nothing I could do, so I left my sick father at the hospital and went on the movie tour with my husband, I Sho Pepper. After a week on the tour, I was about to go to the river to wash my baby clothes when I was called and informed that my father had passed away.”
